The Big Picture of Your Exercise Program

An exercise program is more than just working out and eating healthy. At Maxim Fitness we are dedicated to teaching the synergetic effect of the 'whole pie'. Every program implements 6 domains:

1. Program Design

2. Mobility

3. Cardio

4. Strength

5. Rest

6. Nutrition

Each slice of the pie works together in synergy to create a successful exercise program.

Each slice of the pie works together in synergy to create a successful exercise program.

Each program is designed for your own specific goal. Orum Training has day-to-day programs which applies periodization techniques to keep your body adapting until your goals is achieved.

1. Program Design

Each program uses training blocks with periodized training. Each block is progressed,

or become slightly more intense, weekly and monthly which forces your body to respond to

the new physical demands that your program is placing upon it.

2. Strength Training

Strength training strengthens muscles, decreases body fat, and even strengthens bones and ligaments. We will be using free weights, machines, and bodyweight exercises to make sure we complete a full body workout. Strength training can reduce the signs and symptoms of many chronic conditions, such as arthritis, back pain, obesity, heart disease, depression, and diabetes.

3. Nutrition

Food has one of the biggest influences on a persons weight loss, weight gain, or weight maintenance goals. Food is also one of the most confusing topics in the fitness industry, which leads to an inefficient exercise program. We keep our nutrition information simple and match it with our state of the art Voice diet tracking tool.

4. Cardio

Cardiovascular exercise, or commonly known as cardio, trains the heart and increases blood flow throughout the body. There are various forms and methods of performing cardio exercise-all which will have specific benefits and guidelines. Each program incorporates this type of training, but depending on the individual goals cardio will be applied more for the fat loss programs.

5. Mobility

Mobility refers to our ability to move freely without stress on the body. Mobility training can improve the range of motion of her joints and muscles. If a person is not able to move a joint freely through its for range of motion, they are putting themselves at an increased risk of injury before even attempting to pick up away and load that range of motion.

6. Rest

Rest and recovery is when the body is healing and building from the workout you completed. It encompasses mobility, nutrition, and sleep. Stretching after you've exercised is very important.

During exercise, a lot of pressure and strain is put on our muscles and joints. Mobility and stretching will relieve tight muscles and maintain good posture and joint range of motion.

Muscles are damaged during exercise and then repaired with nutrition. Proteins build muscle size and strength, carbs and fats give you every day, and water will help you stay hydrated.
